Sara & Joseph’s wedding was as full of life as they are! Their wedding day was filled with hand-crafted amazingness, lovingly brought together by both families. Personal details were throughout, like lace from Sara’s mother’s wedding dress both on her own dress and her veil. The bride put a shock of blue around her crinoline to match her bright blue shoes. Love it!
It was a bright, beautiful day on Cheyenne mountain. Without a cloud in the sky, you could see all of Colorado Springs laid out below. The ceremony was traditional, as befitting this couple; spending time with their families before the ceremony and not seeing each other until the bride came down the aisle. One of my favorite moments was when the newlywed’s parents came and prayed blessings on them. Such a wonderful sight of family and friends stretching their hands toward the couple, sending their blessings as well.
Family talents were all over the place; hand made bouquets, hand-sewn details, music before and during the ceremony as well as at the reception and ALL the amazing food! Even one of the bride’s sisters made and decorated the cake.
Before the day was over, we snuck the newly wed couple out in to the scrub a bit for some more romantic images. They were awesome sports; I think their wedded bliss kept them completely blind that they were getting blasted in mid-day Colorado mountain sun.
Congratulations Sara + Joseph!!
